The 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup will be the 13th edition of the men’s Cricket World Cup, scheduled to be hosted by India during October and November 2023

This is the first time that India will host the competition completely. Three previous editions were partially hosted by India in 1987, 1996, and 2011

There are total 13 stadium in India where Cricket World Cup 2023 can be played.10 teams would participate and total 48 matches would be played in the ICC World Cup 2023.

In 1975 the first Cricket World Cup was contested in England as a series of one-day matches of 60 overs per side. It was held outside England, in India and Pakistan, for the first time in 1987. The 1987 contest also saw the number of overs per side reduced to 50. In 2007 Australia became the first team to win three consecutive World Cup tournaments.

  14. The venues for the World Cup finals are Lord’s (1975, 1979, 1983, 1999), Eden Gardens (1987), Melbourne Cricket Stadium (1992), Gaddafi Stadium (1996), The Wanderers (2003), Kensington Oval (2007) and Wankhede Stadium (2011).
  15. Back in 2015, it was after 23 years that New Zealand and Australia jointly hosted the cricket world cup. Earlier, it was in 1992 when both the countries hosted this world cup.
